Here is an educational software developed to improve mathematical reasoning in the minds of young children. This is an offline algorithm capable of generating random question from different elemetary school topics like Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, Algebra. Interactive speech input waits for the child user to either speak or enter the answer within a limited amount of time.
Many children have a short attention span, most of these children find it very hard to focus on a particular activity because they have not been properly trained or taught the skill of instant concentration.
The effect of such behaviours are a forgetful and irresponsible mind-state, both domestically and academically. These children become disorganized, they develop poor learning habits, overlook significant detail and are oblivious to insignificant detail.
MathWhiz will promote logical reasoning as well as lighten the work load on school teachers when marking and/or administering tests.
MathWhiz includes activities that work on visualization skills of the user. Improved working memory - how we hold on to and work with information stored in short-term memory, is crucial in learning not only to follow directions, but to get active and make a plan achievable.
